Ascent & Descent is the second full length album from sound and performance artist Bao Nguyen.  Utilizing voice as a primary instrument, along with field recordings and minimal percussion, Nguyen creates immersive long-form meditations that carve a distinctly personal and environmental sonic space.  The songs on Ascent & Descent interpolate a series of Vietnamese Buddhist and Catholic Prayers, and are given ample room to breathe over 92 minutes of tape.
