s P L e e N C o F F i N was founded in Baltimore as a tiny music/art releasing entity in the summer of 2003 by a duo with a handful of tapes recorded in a kitchen and a flair for handmade art objects. The name derives from a surreal image drawn on a handmade get well card.

We publish new recorded works and overlooked works from the past by people who share our DIY aesthetic and our appreciation for raw experimentation in diverse forms.
