P L e e N C o F F i N was founded
in baltimore as a tiny music/art releasing entity in the
summer of 2003, a product of two enterprising vegetable
enthusiasts with a handful of
4 track tapes
recorded in a kitchen and a flair
for
handmade art objects. The name comes
from
a surreal image
conjured up with the intention of injecting levity into a conversation
regarding one of the founders' unfortunate history of organ troubles.
Now just about 6 years
old, s P L e e N C o F F i N is still in the business of
releasing small-
-run tapes, records,
and CD/CDRs using recycled/handmade
packaging materials, and also
making some releases freely available online. Its been a
fun hobby.
s
P L e e N C o F F i N seeks to distribute and promote new recorded
works by people
who
share our DIY aesthetic and appreciation for raw
experimentation. s
